New York-Based Psychotherapy | Training and Development

Yolaine Menyard, LCSW

We heal in relationship with one another. You shouldn’t do this work alone.

My approach

My style is relational, grounded in care and honesty. Each week, we’ll create a warm, open space where you can be heard, supported, and challenged.

My values

I view therapy as an act of love, community, and resistance. Our work together will explore connections between trauma, racism, and structural oppression.

My background

Focusing on the intersection of social justice and mental health, I’ve worked with young people, adults, families, and groups in professional and community settings.

More about me

My work began helping folks impacted by the carceral system, where I came to further understand how structural oppression appears in our daily lives.

After experiencing how hard it can be for Black people and people of color to access culturally-responsive therapy, I started my private practice to offer a healing space that centers identity.
